Minine's 1st Birthday

Is there anything as exciting, special, memorable, and sad as a 1st birthday? So many firsts, milestones, bonds, and special memories have been made in that first year of life. And, at least to me, it is a little sad too. They aren't a baby anymore. They have tasted independence and realize the whole world is out there waiting to explore. It's a time to reflect on that amazing year & the wonder & gift that life is.

Happy Birthday Minnie! We love you so very, very much. I made a bear cake (http://www.amazon.com/Wilton-Stand-Up-Cuddly-Bear-Pan/dp/B0000DDVXT/ref=pd_sim_k_1) for Minnie's 1st birthday. She LOVES pink so everything was soft & sweet (purple & pink) like she is!

You've got to have the messy cake picture! Unfortunately, Minnie was cutting 3 teeth & was not as chipper as she usually is. But I still think she enjoyed eating cake for the 1st time!

Minnie loved her balloons. She would crawl all around the house with them in her hands!
